Juliette Coturel

Education
Juliette Coturel discovered a passion for movement in her hometown in Paris, France, with contemporary dance, improvisation, and ballet. She completed a BA Contemporary Dance at Trinity Laban in London in 2013. She performed for Lea Anderson, Gary Lambert, Lizzi Kew Ross and Bernadette Iglish (Pina Bausch), amongst others. Since then she worked in collaboration with different artists, and danced for graphic and costume designers. She travelled to Turkey where she presented her own creation ‘Apres la pluie’ in the Art gallery Aphrodisias Sanat Merkesi in Izmir. She performed in Clelia Vuille’s choreographies ‘Nelumbo Nucifera of Remembrance’ shown in festivals in the UK and Spain, and ‘Saudade’ which has already been presented in Switzerland and the UK.
She directed her own Independent Project as part of her BA course, based on physical theatre and choreography. The piece "Don't look back" was performed in the Bonnie Bird Theatre (London) in June 2013.
Juliette’s devotion for dance led her to develop an interest in massage and Pilates practice. She is now a freelance dancer dividing her time among dance projects, Sports massage therapy, and teaching Pilates.
